Astrantia Process

Process of my colored pencil and acrylic drawing called "Astrantia". The colors went through a lot of changes, the light green/grey color was destroying the picture in my opinion, so the final rework removed it, and I ended up much happier.

Adventures of Henry

I worked as an illustrator for the children's book series, "Adventures of Henry" by Darrin Anderson, and I would like anyone who reads this to please consider buying a copy of his books. The proceeds from each book sold go to help children with rare diseases. The stories are about the author's son who passed away from a rare genetic disorder, and an animal who represents a child who is sick and needs help. I have illustrated two books from this series, "Timmy the Goat", and "Mikayla the Wolf". You can find more information here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Adventures-of-Henry/176270505740177 or purchase a copy here: http://shop.adventuresofhenry.com/

"Mechanical Spine" drawn in colored pencil with acrylic paint. It was hard to keep working on all the detail in this one, but I am obviously glad I did. I want to work more in colored pencil again, I miss the clean edges and control I have. I still feel I haven't fully gotten to understand the digital painting medium, and my work in that area is still not clean enough.
