Diagonal Bodysuits

I've gone to the opposite end of the spectrum with these little drawings, and tried a minimal amount of detailing, and a focus on intense contrast and diagonals. There's also a touch of color, as you can see since you're not blind.

Scary Business

This painting is changing up the format a bit by having the human interacting with the animal, and I'm aware it's horrifying looking >_> Anyways, this is what I wish I was working on instead of design again.

Rhino Party

I believe this painting is almost finished. >_> Graphic design projects are taking up my painting time which is sad, because painting is obviously more enjoyable.

Pig gets an overhaul

The pig was far too heavy, so he got an overhaul. I also took the second blanket face down and rebuilt it.

The Salvation of Two Fine Paintings

This painting was hard to look at yesterday, but I scrubbed the background with a paint thinner laden rag until it became transparent, and the depth came back. I also added some nature elements to the background.

This one looked like a disgusting mess, but now is working for me. The problem was the fake bright colors were removing the effectiveness of the blanket.

Bathtub Photoshoot

I started a new painting, and now will demonstrate the process of creating it.
When I paint, I rarely do any sketches beforehand, I look through my photos, or create a photo to match my vision, and collage other objects/animals together to create a pleasing composition. So my plan was to create a painting involving water, and a bold pattern like the rest of my current series.

Here I am looking like a fool in the bathtub.

I did the quick initial sketch, and added the swan to mimic the curve of the body.

The first layer of the body is completed.

I filled in the swan, and decided the water would be geometric and flat.

Where I left off yesterday.

Where I left off today.
The background is far too heavy, and I need to think of how to deal with the space on her right. The leg is also confusing. Whenever I have to leave the studio with a painting unresolved like this it's quite annoying, but that's life, amirite?
